The 2022 Mercedes-Benz EQS is an all-new Electric Sedan car being manufactured in Germany. This car is the electric version of the Mercedes S-Class – the company’s flagship luxury sedan.
Its body is nothing to be compared to any other sedan car in history. It has a sleek flowing silhouette that almost erases any hint of a traditional sedan form. It is a masterpiece and will definitely change the automobile industry.
The digital front grill is still kept secret as Mercedes is yet to unveil all the car’s components. There are rumours that stepping into the EQS is like stepping into a car from the future.
It has this infotainment screen that runs the full width of the dash. As you can see in the image below, the Mercedes-Benz Hyperscreen is just massive.
What’s interesting about the curved 56-inch screen is that it’s actually several displays embedded in one solid piece of curved glass. Now there are three separate screens.
You’ve got the instrument cluster behind the steering wheel. The main infotainment screen in the central part of the dash. And then you’ve got this extra screen too for the passenger.
Another amazing function is after you’ve driven it a few times, the car is actually learning from how you use the car and it starts to surface the things that you want to use the most.
You would think that the 56-inch Hyperscreen is really long and would be enough for the car. That’s not for Mercedes who wants even more screen. So, in the back seat, there are two screens on the back of the headrest – the driver and passenger seat. So your rear passengers can enjoy various streaming service capabilities. They can look through the music. And just in case that’s not enough, there’s one more screen on the centre armrest, in between the two rear passengers. This particular screen is detachable from its case. It can be separated and still made to interface with all the other screens. With the 2022 Mercedes-Benz EQS, you are definitely going to have a Screen Party.
BATTERY
The new EQS will come with two different battery configurations. A 90 kWh version and a larger 107.8 kWh version. Though yet to be confirmed, Mercedes says that the EQS can sprint from 0 to 60 in a little over four seconds. A light press on the car’s accelerator will put you in the back seat.
There are rumours that this particular Mercedes drive is the new King of long-distance EVs. The company says its larger battery will get around 478 miles on a single charge or about 770 kilometres. That’s longer lasting than the most powerful Tesla which has a range of 402 miles.
The price is…? Well, this hasn’t been revealed yet by Mercedes. The EQS is quite an impressive car. Especially for folks who like luxury cars.
