Organizers of the #Hack.Jozi challenge announced they received more than 140 applications.
These were whittled down to 43 teams and then to 10 finalists. The winning team will receive a R1 million cash prize, while the second and third runners up will each win R350 000. The total prize purse is valued at R5 million, including support provided to all finalists.
Organizers this morning announced that the winners will be announced on 30 June 2015.
The winning teams will be announced by City of Joburg’s Executive Mayor Cllr Parks Tau. The event will feature a short demo of the entries.
