African startups operating in the agrifood sector are being offered a transformative opportunity to join the THRIVE Global Impact Challenge. This initiative is dedicated to fostering a shift towards a net-zero carbon future in agriculture by supporting groundbreaking solutions.
The challenge is a worldwide quest to identify and nurture startups that are pioneering sustainable agricultural practices. It is designed to align with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals and concentrates on five critical themes within the agricultural sector. Startups that emerge as finalists within these themes will have the chance to progress to the final round. They will present their innovations at the THRIVE Global Impact Summit, where the top contender will be crowned.
The victor of the THRIVE Global Impact Challenge will not only earn the prestigious award but will also secure a coveted spot in THRIVE’s globally recognized Accelerator Programme. Additionally, the winning startup will receive an investment of up to $1 million from SVG Ventures. Furthermore, the winner will be granted the exclusive opportunity to pitch their solution live at the THRIVE Global Impact Summit held in Silicon Valley, showcasing their innovation to a global audience.
