The Tony Elumelu Foundation has released the list of 1,000 finalists for its US$100 million entrepreneurship programme (TEEP). The list is dominated by applicants from Nigeria followed by Kenya. There are also several applicants from Ghana, South Africa, Rwanda and several other African countries.
Tony Elumelu Entrepreneurship Programme, in January, called on entrepreneurs across Africa to submit their business ideas for a chance to get $10, 000 dollars in equity-free funding. The TEEP is expected to help entrepreneurs bring their ideas to life and encourage the launch of small businesses in Africa.
