Rumours have been making the rounds on when the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 plus will be released. Well, this is no longer a rumour as Samsung has officially confirmed that the Galaxy S9 will be launched on Feb. 25.
This date was confirmed via a tweet (@SamsungMobile) by Samsung on Twitter. The tech giant wrote: “From 02.25.2018. #Unpacked will change how you experience everything.”

This said, previous reports already showed that the device will be unveiled at Mobile World Congress (MWC) next month in Barcelona, the world’s largest show for all things mobile.
MWC, which runs from Feb. 26 to March 1, is an important opportunity for mobile brands to showcase their new phones for 2018.
The Samsung Galaxy S9 will almost certainly launch alongside a slightly larger model, the S9+, and the phones are expected to look very similar to their predecessors, the S8 and S8+, which came out last year.
The most noticeable cosmetic change will be a redesign of the fingerprint scanner, which was small and awkwardly positioned on the S8.
Samsung is believed to be shifting it to a more central position on the smartphone’s rear side, which should make it easier to access and use.
