According to a recent post on a German Website, Macerkopf.de,  WhatsApp plans on adding a video calling feature to its service with its newest build (v2.12.16.2) which will enable WhatsApp users send or receive video calls directly via WiFi or cellular services.
No words on when this update will be available but according to the screenshot shown, it seems to be running on iOS and there’s been nothing on other platforms yet but we’re quite sure we’d be seeing an Android version along side iOS when it’s finally available to the public.

The latest build number of WhatsApp (2.12.12) suggests that the video chatting feature is likely to hit the App Store with the app’s next update.
