Nigeria’s major ecommerce platform Konga today announced it is opening its platform to more merchants. In a newsletter sent to its customers, a copy of which was obtained by Innovation Village, Konga said it will soon be possible for its customers to find whatever they are looking for.

“We are opening our platform to even more merchants nationwide. This means an exponential increase in the range of items available for sale on Konga,” it said.

It said it is now possible for shoppers to order wheelchairs, welding machines, solar panels and others.

Konga also announced it is implementing a delivery framework that will enable faster delivery, and will make same day delivery to happen more frequently.

“No more fixed delivery charges, you will have flexibility and in many cases, cheaper delivery rates. We will now guarantee delivery times or your money back,” Konga said.

The company also announced it is implementing a payment that it created in partnership with some of Nigeria’s leading banks. This platform is expected to make transactions more secure.

The ecommerce giant has launched a new Twitter handle through which customers can make inquiries and complaints with a shorter response time.
