Iflix, the world’s leading Subscription Video on Demand (SVoD) service for emerging markets with a vision to change the way the next 1 billion people consume entertainment opened its door to the press in an exclusive event tagged ‘Are you ready to play’ yesterday.
The Iflix platform is offering users unlimited access to thousands of TV shows, movies, sports and more. All these will be offered at less than 800 naira.
Believe me when I say the freshness and the wealth of content is capable of making you feel like a child that just stumbled on a box of sweet, but another interesting thing that got me carried away is the office space.
The Iflix office is the last building in a close that houses some other companies . While I may not do justice to giving appropriate descriptions to great architectural pieces, interior designs never get lost on me.
Every corner of the office beamed with light and a brightness that speaks of great youthful energy. I wonder if it is in line with the recent trend of new media companies creating work environments that allow for their staff to be relaxed and creative. Whatever the reason behind such beautiful work of art is, the design team definitely delivered a fun and relaxed workplace.
It is office unusual with GET SH*T DONE boldly written on the wall just as you ascend the stairs
The walls just before the bottom flight of stairs is covered with posters of Nollywood and Hollywood blockbusters.
Work doesn’t have to be boring, is the idea one gets once one steps into the office lobby. A pinball table shares a space with a relaxing couch. The graffiti on the wall is unmissable. “Playground” it says.
There is a lot of detail in driving the vision of the brand which targets millions of young users who love to express themselves freely.
The office hall allows for interactive and collaborative work with everyone sitting close to one another, not having to worry about partitions.
Beautiful high stools and chairs adorn the space outside the building that could make for a good meeting place for great brainstorming sessions or just bants.
I just want to stay here with my legs tucked underneath me while I get lost in whatever holds my fancy. There are four other units like this one.
What’s cooler than a healthy office cafe? I didn’t check the menu though but the name speaks for itself I suppose.
The truth is when I got the invite and I saw Playground Workstation as the venue, I never gave it much thought till iIgot there and I could see how much work was done to make the work place as fun as it is serious.
I have a thing for clean, relaxed and hip office environments that scream creativity. Being hunched over a clean brown or black desk surrounded with dark coloured or white walls with one or two paintings that is reflective of the admin officer’s taste can be depressing. One key thing that many work places have failed to offer is that feeling of relaxation-so relaxed you are in no rush to go home.
The Iflix office has that work-fun environment well integrated.
I already downloaded the Iflix app and I will be sharing on whether or not the app experience is as cool as the office space.

Welcome to Nigeria IFLIX. This is cool!
Honestly the office and the wall posters are awesome. I love this…
How can you write about an office without writing it’s address?
