Google may turn search results from blue to black

Google has changed in the last decade but the plain white background, 10 results per page and the blue site links are yet to change.

However, the blue site links may probably be turned to black by Google in the near future. This was duly observed by the telegraph of London that Google has started testing black links and some users have also reported noticing their search results appearing in black.

In a comment on the impending change, Google said: “We are always running many small-scale experiments with the design of the results page. We’re not quite sure that black is the new blue.”

The possibility of the blue links being replaced by black links is hugely dependent on raw test data and public feedback. Hence, do not be surprised if you notice this change.
