CcHub will be taking fourteen startups in its maiden edition of PitchDrive. PitchDrive is a three week, five-city European tech hub tour across London, Amsterdam, Berlin, Zurich and Paris. The event will give the African tech companies the opportunity to pitch to investors, explore international opportunities and learn about frontier technology markets.
The goal is to raise 20 million Euros in investments for the startups.
The 14 startups, selected from 118 entires, for the 1027 PitchDrive are listed below:
- 6 startups from Nigeria – Fashpa, Gloo, Prepclass, Piggybank, Tradedepot, and Lifebank
- 2 startups from Zimbabwe – BitFinance and RealFood
- 1 startup from Kenya – Ongair
- 1 startup from Ethiopia – Gebeya
- 1 startup from South Africa – GoMetro
- 1 startup from Senegal – Firefly
- 1 Startup from Ghana – Kudobuzz
- 1 Startup from Uganda – ClinicMaster
Starting in London on 14th of August 2017, the cohort will visit Google’s Campus London, TQ Amsterdam, Factory Berlin and Impact Hub in Zurich, concluding at NUMA Paris.
PitchDrive is providing all travel, accommodation and visa support, as well mentorship and support from notable tech founders and mentors such as Iroko CEO, Jason Njoku, Illuminate Africa’s Stephen Newton, David Grunwald of Google for Entrepreneurs, Saidah Nash Carter of Reuters and Sami Louali of Jumia (Africa Internet Group)

Weldone CCHUB for this startups. This is really a big startups for the 14 selected Africa.
What made me so happy about this is that, Nigeria has 6 startups represented. Wow! ? This will surely encourage these startups from putting more efforts into their ventures, knowing fully well that their effort is being watched by corporate bodies who would like to put money on them. Nice one.
