Al-Quaeda linked Al-Shabab Group has issued a 15-day ultimatum to Internet Service Providers in Somalia to shut down their operations.According to Al-Shabab in a statement, “Any individual or company that is found ignoring the order will be considered to be working with the enemy and they will be dealt with in accordance to sharia law.”
“Services known as mobile internet and fibre optics must be stopped in Somalia.”
The Al-Shabab’s statement was issued on the Facebook page of its Al-Andalus radio station.
The group however did not state the penalty for the defaulters.
