Vodafone Business and Maroc Telecom Partner to Boost Morocco’s Digital Growth

Vodafone Business and Maroc Telecom have announced a new strategic partnership aimed at expanding digital services and connectivity solutions for enterprise and public sector customers in Morocco. The collaboration builds on Vodafone’s existing alliance with Emirates Telecommunications Group (e&), which owns Maroc Telecom.

Under the newly signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), the two companies will initially focus on delivering smart city and energy management solutions, supporting Morocco’s ambition to become a major digital hub by 2030. The move further strengthens Vodafone’s growing footprint across Africa, where it already operates through Vodacom in eight countries.

As the partnership matures, it will broaden its scope to include enterprise services such as Software-Defined Wide Area Networks (SD-WAN), Mobile Private Networks, cloud solutions, and cybersecurity. Businesses in Morocco will be able to tailor Vodafone Business’s global digital platforms with Maroc Telecom’s deep local expertise, ensuring regulatory compliance and market-specific adaptations.

Maroc Telecom, which serves approximately 75 million subscribers across Morocco and other African markets, will also leverage the collaboration to support its multi-national and regional clients in key sectors like logistics, manufacturing, retail, and public services. Enterprises will benefit from a unified portfolio of scalable managed services, backed by comprehensive pre- and post-sales support, billing, implementation, and management.

Commenting on the partnership, Fanan Henriques, Product & International Business Director at Vodafone Business, said:

“By partnering with Maroc Telecom, we can boost the adoption of new digital services in Morocco in support of the country’s digital ambitions. Maroc Telecom’s local expertise and digital skills combined with Vodafone’s scalable, secure platforms will underpin new fintech, healthcare, and industrial innovations driven by Morocco’s young workforce and growing startup culture.”

This announcement also deepens Vodafone Business’s broader strategic relationship with e&, which spans Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. In October 2023, Vodafone Business and e& revealed plans to collaborate on providing integrated services to multi-national enterprises by leveraging their combined operational scale and complementary geographic footprints.

By joining forces, Vodafone Business and Maroc Telecom aim to position themselves at the forefront of Morocco’s digital transformation, delivering the next generation of connectivity solutions to drive innovation and economic growth.
