CEO of Unitel, Isabel dos Santos revealed that the Angolan operator has entered into a partnership with Google to launch a fibre optic submarine cable that will connect Africa to Brazil and Brazil to America.
The president of the company, who spoke during the Global Entrepreneurship Summit in Marrakech, said that the project has launched, with the first km built two weeks ago. On the telecommunications sector in Africa, the CEO said the big challenge was broadband connectivity, in order to implement high-quality fibre in Africa to support mobile communications and business.
