The President of ride-hailing App, Uber, Jeff Jones has left his position less than 6 months of being appointed.
According to reports, Jeff Jones left the company because of Uber’s continued struggle with issues related to sexual harassment and sexism.
Jones said: The beliefs and approach to leadership that have guided my career are inconsistent with what I saw and experienced at Uber.”
Meanwhile, Uber in an official statement wished Jones the best. The statement said: “We want to thank Jeff for his six months at the company and we wish him the best.”
Jones had left Target on September 9 to join Uber ride after four years of heading marketing at the nearly 1,800-unit retail chain.
The unexpected resignation of Jones is another unwelcomed publicity for Uber as the company struggles to cushion its fast declining image.
