Twitter has been testing its ads API since January and today officially launches it. With Twitter’s announcement, it joins Facebook and LinkedIn as the only other global social networks with advertising APIs that allow marketers to create, manage and optimize ads.
The first five partners that will be integrating it into their social media management tools are:
Twitter chose these beta partners because they offer products that address some of the most pressing needs of marketers. However, it says that it is currently evaluating the next round of partners to join the program. Interested people can apply here.
April Underwood, Twitter Product Manager says “The Twitter Certified Products Program is also evolving to include ads products. In the coming months, we’ll begin to certify ads products that integrate with the Twitter Ads API and consistently improve marketing efficiency and ROI.”
