Steve Evans has resigned as the CEO of Etisalat Nigeria. He joined five years ago as the first CEO in Nigeria.
According to Ms Chineze Amanfo, a spokesperson from the company, the Chief Commercial Officer, Matthew Willsher, has taken over as acting CEO in his place
Prior to that, he was the Chief Executive Officer of the London-based BT Group Plc (BT/A)’s mobile unit.
Etisalat is the fourth largest mobile phone operator in Nigeria, with 15.3 million subscribers as of June 2013.
