Smileandtalk.com has announced the launch of a new game called Oga for Nigerian children.

In a statement made available to Innovation Viillage, the company said the game is currently available only for users of iOS devices while the Android version will be released next month.

Oga is a popular children’s game

“The way the game works is very simple, two people face each other, one player is the “server” and the other is the “guesser”. Both players have to reveal a foot position. They usually clap and dance before revealing the position. If the opposite player guesses the correct position then they take over “serve”. If they don’t guess right, then the server gets a point. The game is over when one of the players gets to 15,” the company stated.

Head of Marketing at Smile and Talk media, Somto Fab-Ukozor said, “With this game we are trying to show that the mobile game market can target young girls and still be successful, as you may know, Oga is a game that was traditionally played by young girls, and we believe that games like this will also inspire young African female developers.”
