See The Replies Of Nigerians on Twitter After Davido Tweeted He Feels Like Giving out Money

Davido needs no introduction to many young Nigerians. He has back to back hits like gobe, Aye, Skelewu, and Dami Duro among many others. He has, no doubt, paid his dues in the Nigerian music scene. And we all know money is not his problem. We can say he is wealthy as a musician and of course his father Adedeji Adeleke is a multi-millionaire.

So, when Davido tweets that he feels like giving money today, it is probably for real and you have to take him seriously.

I feel like giving out money today

    — Davido (@davido) March 13, 2017

However, Davido didn’t actually have it in mind to give out money, after all, he is not a father Christmas. He was responding to a diss by Hushpuppi who questioned his status as a wealthy guy.

But trust Nigerians on twitter, they quickly reacted and jumped on the tweet.

Some people dropped their account number publicly:

I KNEW THIS WEEK WAS MY WEEK OF SUPRISES!!!! YES LORD THANK YOU 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 0694178650 ACCESS BANK.

Some used it as an opportunity to market their business:

This reveals how some young Nigerians use social media. This further gives credence to those who argue that social media should be regulated. Perhaps, celebrities should also be careful of what they tweet because they are influencers and have a large following.

At the end, we hear that Davido has reconciled with Hushpuppi. You can conveniently call it a publicity stunt.
