    PAYG Firm Azuri Technologies wins Global SDG Award

    Pay-As-You-Go (PAYG) Solar Company Azuri Technologies is the 2019 winner of the Global Sustainable Development Goals Award. This is owing to its innovative use of technology to provide clean and affordable energy to rural off-grid areas in Africa.

    Azuri Technologies brings together solar and mobile payment technologies in order to distribute solar energy to people in remote areas.

    The firm was selected out of 700 nominations from 125 countries globally and was named the most transformative and impactful companies that have helped to address the challenges of clean technology.

    The Global SDG Awards picks companies that have aligned its agenda with the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals which seek to bring an end to poverty, hunger, enhance quality education, decent work and economic growth among others.

    From home lighting to solar satellite TV, Azuri products are designed to deliver world-class performance at an affordable price for customers who happen to live away from mains power.
