Yesterday, we reported that Nokia is announcing a new consumer product today. Today, Nokia has announced a brand new Android tablet at the Slush conference in Helsinki – a first for the company after the separation with Microsoft.
To be completely honest, I think Nokia should have taken this route years ago! But this is good because I’m just too happy to see Nokia standing on its feet with something new again and if you’ve noticed, the company is trying to revive the Nseries.
The N1 seems to be an impressive tablet to say the least, judging by its specs though… which you can find below;
• 7.9-inch display IPS LCD 2048×1536 resolution display
• Gorilla® glass 3, Fully laminated zero air-gap display
• A one-piece aluminum body, sandblasted for a satin finish
• 64-bit Intel® quad-core processor
• 200.7mm X 138.6 mm X 6.9 mm, 318g
• 8 MP rear-facing camera with autofocus, 5 MP front-facing camera with fixed focus and 1080p video recording
• Two 0.5 W stereo speakers, 90 dB with less than 10% total harmonic distortion (THD)
• 2GB RAM and 32GB Internal memory
• 18.5 Wh (5300 mAh) rechargeable lithium polymer battery (3.7 V)

The Nokia N1 will be hitting China in time for Chinese New Year (February 19th) and rolling out to other countries after that. The main selling point for this device would be its price which is around $249 USD, which is quite a steal for these specs.
