Bukky Ajayi, Donald Trump, iPhone 7 were among the top searched terms in Nigeria according to Google’s 2016 “Year in Search”.
Annually, Google present the most searched terms or words globally and also per country. Globally, the top three searched words were Pokémon Go, Donald Trump and iPhone 7. Obviously Pokémon Go was not one of the top searched words in Nigeria because it is still not available in Nigeria.
In the various lists, Suicide Squad came tops in Movies/TV series list; Stephen Keshi was number 1 in the Sports People list (this would be due to his untimely death in June this year); Kiss Daniel’s song, Mama was the number one searched song and Nigerian Spaghetti recipe as the most search recipe (one would have thought it would be Jollof rice)
