Microsoft has unveiled a new cyber-security service called Microsoft Security Experts in response to the rising rate of cybercrime and to assist corporations and enterprises in keeping their systems secure. The security solution provides enterprises with security and threat detection solutions by combining advanced security technologies with human-led services. For further information, see the details below.

    Security Experts from Microsoft Announced

In an official blog post, Microsoft introduced the Microsoft Security Experts service, noting that the worldwide cost of cybercrime is estimated to rise from $6.5 trillion per year in 2021 to $10.5 trillion per year in 2025.

“Human-led services with expert-trained technology will help enterprises achieve better security outcomes,” the company claims. Microsoft will provide three enterprise options as part of its new service. In the sections below, you can learn more about each of them.

    Microsoft Defender Experts for Hunting

This Microsoft Security Expert solution is for businesses and organizations that already have a strong security system in place but need Microsoft’s assistance in actively detecting threats and providing solutions to address them. Microsoft will provide skilled security personnel to “examine anything they find and then send off the relevant alert information and remediation instructions” to clients with Defender Experts for hunting.

Client companies can also contact on-demand experts who can provide them with information on specific cyber-attack instances, attack pathways, or nation-state actors. Office 365, cloud apps, and other endpoints are all protected by this solution. It is now in early review and will be released to the entire public in summer 2022.

Experts from Microsoft Defender for XDR

This approach is intended to offer client companies and enterprises with security operations centers. The XDR acronym stands for extended detection and response, and the solution employs both technological and human skills to respond to customer issues.

Microsoft Defender XDR provides detection and response across Microsoft 365 Defender, in addition to endpoints. Client organizations can also work with Microsoft’s specialists to decrease costs, unwanted noise, and manual processes. It will be released in preview form in the fall of this year.

    Enterprise Security Services from Microsoft

This security solution combines both of the previous options. It offers proactive threat hunting and managed XDR to assist enterprises in meeting their security objectives and safeguarding their systems against malicious attacks and ransomware programs.

Microsoft claims to be monitoring over 35 ransomware families and 250 distinct threat actors. Microsoft Security Experts aim to boost the security systems of big corporations and major enterprises in the market with their technology and human-led solutions.
