People who have lost either limbs to such things as diseases and road accidents in Kenya have something to smile as LG and Hotpoint Appliances in a bid to fulfil their social responsibilities, have donated US$29,000 in sponsorship for amputees and people with deformities. The move comes as result of a rise in the number of patients in need of limb operation and artificial prosthetic.
The treatment is free as is one of the few facilities in Kenya that provides orthopedic, reconstructive surgery and rehabilitation for patients with physical deformities, PCEA Kikuyu Hospital will share the cost alongside LG and Hotpoint Appliances for the entire procedure.
