Today, Landon Donovan, America’s all-time leading goal scorer was unveiled as the next man to join the ranks of #GALAXY11 in the fight for Earth.
Landon Timothy Donovan is an American soccer player currently playing for the Los Angeles Galaxy and the United States men’s national team. He has played for Bayer Leverkusen, San Jose Earthquakes, Bayern Munich, and Everton. He usually plays as a withdrawn forward for the Galaxy, but he is just as effective as an attacking midfielder on either wing playing for the U.S.
The fate of Earth is at stake – and I’m ready to step up! Proud to join #GALAXY11 and join the fight for our planet http://t.co/W3fT0FfX2q

Donovan joins a team of Lionel Messi (Argentina), Wayne Rooney (England), Mario Gotze (Germany), Oscar dos Santos (Brazil), Wu Lei (China), Stephan El Shaarawy (Italy), Victor Moses (Nigeria), Radamel Falcao (Colombia), Lee Chung-Yong (Korea) and Iker Casillas (Spain).
For those who are unaware of #Galaxy11, it is a fantasy-inspired, football-themed campaign by Samsung to prepare a team of international football stars to save the earth. They are being recruited with the help of Football legend and coach, Franz Beckenbauer. See the first story about the campaign here – it started with the appearance of black hooded people in major sports stadia around the world.
