Kenya startups In January, Norwegian-based startup investment platform Pangea, called on African Startups to apply to be part of its recently launched accelerator in Kenya.
Today, it has unveiled the 11 startups that will take part in the Nairobi-based accelerator to have the opportunity of getting up to $50 000 in investment from selected international investors.
Interestingly, the 12-week accelerator programme is run in partnership with Liquid Telecom and Strathmore University’s @iBizAfrica is dominated by Kenyan Startups (nine) while the two other shortlisted companies are from Egypt and Nigeria.
The 11 were selected by a selection panel made up of experts from Innovation Norway, BDO EA, Mastercard Foundation, and Longitude Finance.
Pangea CEO Jonas Tefu said he had “no doubt that investors will find good opportunities for investment based on the quality of businesses represented on the Pangea programme”.
