Is the Mac Pro of 2019 still worth buying, now that Apple has switched to its own M-series Silicon?

In 2019, the Mac Pro was the best option for those who wanted the most powerful, repairable, and upgradeable computer from Apple. Even now, it is the most reliable and future-proof Mac product. If you want to save money, you can buy the Mac Pro’s base configuration and then upgrade it yourself, just like you would upgrade or fix your computer instead of buying a new one. Apple has made substantial advancements since the Mac Pro was released, and so its disadvantages now exceed its advantages.

When it comes to buying a new computer, the Apple Silicon route is the way to go for the typical user and even the average professional. A year after launching its fourth-generation iPhone in 2010, Apple began designing its own processors, which it has since expanded into designs for its iPad and MacBook models.

Before moving the Mac line of products to Apple Silicon, the company got better at making iPhones and iPads, which are now the most powerful and efficient in their class. The Mac Studio is a desktop that has the same specs as the Intel Mac Pro. It has a lot of processing power in a small package. We can expect higher performance from Apple’s hardware and software integration. While the computer’s specs are identical, the M1 Max and Pro MacBook Pro models cost half as much and have a screen as well as an onboard keyboard and trackpad.

The Mac Pro has a market, but in 2022, Apple Silicon Macs will be a superior value.
