Instagram May Soon Allow Users Pin up to Three Posts on their Profile

Instagram has begun testing the option to pin posts to a user’s profile after launching the chronological feed on Android and iOS late last month. Instagram Will Allow You to Pin Three Posts to Your Profile Soon

According to recent reports, Instagram has begun allowing select users to use a new “Attach to Your Profile” option to pin Instagram posts to the top of their profiles. An Instagram user from India turned to Twitter this weekend to report that the new button has begun to show for their IG posts.

The function is comparable to Twitter’s pinned tweet feature, which allows users to emphasize a certain message by pinning it to the top of their profile. Users will be able to pin their best-performing posts, favorite photos, or product videos to show off to their followers on Instagram. Instagram currently allows users to pin comments, for those who are unaware.

This is in addition to Instagram’s anticipated Edit Grid feature, which will allow users to rearrange their photo grid in order to keep their preferred photographs and videos at the top while the remainder slides below. This has not yet been implemented. It’s also worth noting that the “Pin to Your Profile” button was discovered earlier this year by reputable reverse app engineer Alessandro Paluzzi. The tipster noted in a follow-up tweet in February that Instagram was continuing to improve the tool by allowing users to pin up to three posts to their accounts.

Now, it appears that the Meta-owned social media behemoth has begun to roll out the tool to a select group of users in India, as well as maybe other countries. Unfortunately, it is not available for me at the time of writing this tale. However, we anticipate Instagram revealing more information about this functionality and making it available to all users soon.
