In a bid to combat the alarming rate of unemployment in Nigeria, Huawei and the Federal Government of Nigeria are partnering to train 2,000 Nigerians in the field of Information and Communications Technology.

Tagged ICT for Change the program is designed for Universities/Polytechnics Graduates of electrical, electronics, computer science, ICT, civil and mechanical engineering and other ICT related sources.

Interestingly, this is not the first time Huawei is working with the government on youth empowerment even though the 2013 program focused on training 1,000 young women.

The program is free and interested graduates should apply on or before 15 June 2016.

Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd is a Chinese multinational networking and telecommunications equipment and services company. It is the largest telecommunications equipment manufacturer in the world.
