I had a female colleague who wasn’t as tech-savvy as her 10-year-old son. One day, she called me, but I didn’t answer because the caller ID displayed “Private Number.” She continued to call, but I didn’t pick up since it still showed as private.
The next day, she approached me and complained. She mentioned she had some important information to share, but I neither answered her calls nor returned them. I explained that I had received a call from someone with an unknown caller ID and asked if it was her. She informed me that I wasn’t the only one who had reported this issue; whenever she called someone, it showed as an unknown caller. She was unsure of the cause but suspected it was related to her 10-year-old son, who often used her phone.
If you’re reading this, I’m sure you’ve encountered a similar situation. Perhaps you know someone with teenagers and can relate.
In this article, I will provide a quick way to deactivate the feature that allows private or unknown numbers to show on your caller ID. You can also share this link with anyone who wants to hide their number before calling a debtor.
