Machine Learning is at the heart of the next computing revolution. From cars that drive themselves, to chatbots and recommendation engines on e-commerce sites, Machine Learning will drive innovation across the world as computers take on human tasks.
Devcenter has teamed up with GDG Lagos and the Together with Google Developers program to host a TensorFlow viewing party in Lagos, Nigeria. TensorFlow is a programming system that makes complex mathematical computations easier by representing them as graphs. For machines to learn and behave like humans, it requires heavy computer processing power which most developers don’t have access to.
TensorFlow makes it easier to create, analyse and use machine learning models that run on everyday computers. TensorFlow is open source and is the number one Deep Learning framework in the world.
The viewing party is an Extended Viewing Party for those who can’t make it to the actual Google event. Beginners will also learn about Machine Learning using TensorFlow; showing real life scenarios as mathematical models for learning.
The event will feature Tomiwa Ijaware who’s a Senior Digital Analyst at McKinsey Digital Labs and Farouq Oyebiyi who builds recommendation and personalisation sytems to improve User Experiences at Konga. Both speakers will share their knowledge about Machine Learning and TensorFlow
Invites to this event are limited and interested participants can register here . The Viewing Party will hold at 6PM on the 15th of February at IDEA Hub Lagos.
