In an exciting development for the industrial sector, Simplex, an Egyptian CNC machine manufacturing startup, has announced securing $13 million in funding to establish a massive factory in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The upcoming factory will be built on a 20,000-square-meter site in the Saudi capital and will specialize in the production of cutting-edge CNC machines. This milestone was celebrated during a signing ceremony attended by key figures, including Eng. Ahmed Shaaban, Chairman of Simplex CNC, and Eng. Khalil ibn Salamah, Vice Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources in Saudi Arabia.

Simplex has partnered with Saudi Arabia’s National Industrial Development Centre through a memorandum of understanding to set up its first factory in the Kingdom. Speaking at the ceremony, Eng. Ahmed Shaaban expressed gratitude for the support received from Saudi authorities.
“This factory represents a major step towards realizing our vision of expanding in regional and global markets while increasing exports of CNC machines,” said Shaaban. He also highlighted the project’s alignment with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, which focuses on diversifying the economy and developing advanced industrial capabilities.
The factory is expected to begin operations in the first quarter of 2026, with the production capacity yet to be finalized. Shaaban emphasized that the project reflects Simplex’s commitment to contributing to the Kingdom’s industrial sector and fostering technological advancements.
