FriendyM, an Egypt-based autotech company, has secured a $2 million investment to extend its car management and maintenance services across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).

Founded in 2016 by Abdelrahman Elgamal, FriendyM offers, through its platform, several car services like maintenance, tracking car expenses, and concierge services, among others. The application, already also operational in countries such as Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, is set to transform the way Egyptians manage their cars and ensure optimal performance.

“FriendyM” aims to enroll 100,000 cars within its first year and extend its services across all governorates in the Arab Republic of Egypt.

    FriendyM’s Key Features and Services:

    1. Smart Maintenance Reminders: Users can register their car data, enabling “FriendyM” to send regular notifications for maintenance appointments, necessary operations, and calculating average operation costs.
    2. Expense Management: The application efficiently handles car-related expenses, including fuel bills, parking costs, and cleaning. Users can attach all invoices to their accounts, allowing for a comprehensive expense analysis.
    3. Technical Support and Booking Services: “FriendyM” provides technical support through the “Chat Support” feature, connecting users with mechanical engineers for inquiries. Users can also book maintenance appointments at competitive prices.
    4. Emergency SOS and Record Keeping: The application offers emergency SOS services and creates comprehensive records of cars, particularly beneficial when cars are sold.
    5. Concierge Services: Soon, “FriendyM” will introduce Lite and Elite concierge services with monthly subscription fees. Elite subscribers can request relief vehicles in emergencies and replacement services during extended maintenance. Lite subscribers receive quarterly follow-ups from dedicated mechanical engineers.
    6. Exclusive Discounts: Subscribers to both concierge packages enjoy exclusive discounts of up to 25% on maintenance costs and annual insurance subscriptions.

Abdelrahman Elgamal expressed his joy at the Egypt launch. He highlighted the efforts of the dedicated team and their commitment to providing innovative solutions. Elgamal emphasized the application’s commitment to inclusivity, especially catering to women who may have less experience in the technical aspects of car management. With a focus on leveraging Egypt’s digital transformation, “FriendyM” aims to offer a unique and empowering experience to all its users.
