Nelly Saoud, Value Pre-sales and Business Development Manager at Computer Information System (CIS), a Nigerian firm, has expressed the company’s commitment to the delivery of Oracle solutions locally. Saound said this at a forum to drive the understanding and usage of Oracle solutions in the country.
She said Oracle’s partners and customers in Nigeria need education because of the high ignorance on the usage and benefits of Oracle despite the popular nature of Oracle’s solutions.
She added that Oracle and its partners allowed businesses to focus on their core business while they provide them with IT infrastructure which is one of the latest offering that Oracle showcased at the event.
She said CIS can provide high level support for Oracle solutions within and outside Nigeria.
Responding, Charbel Bou-Id, Managing Director of CIS Nigeria said government and organizations could be assisted by Oracle solutions in improving transparency, governance, compliance, security as well as management of government projects.
“IT infrastructure affects every aspect of every organization. Effective management is crucial. High availability, responsiveness and adequacy are non-negotiable requirements of global corporations and require specific expertise and know-how that CIS provides,” Bou-Id said.
He added that today’s business enterprises competed within an ever-changing global business ecosystem.
“The constant pursuit of greater efficiency, increased productivity, lower costs, greater market share, and reduced time-to-market is driving corporations to redefine strategies and reengineer processes.
“In addition the Web is dramatically affecting the manner in which businesses and customers interact and present possibilities for highly creative business models,” he said.
