OnDjoss, a startup based in Cameroon which has created an instant messaging app featuring a mobile money transfer function between operators, is planning to expand following considerable initial success.

Established in March 2022, OnDjoss launched its payment feature in August and quickly received 300,000 downloads, facilitating thousands of dollars in money transfers.

CEO and Co-founder Kenyo Valdo has praised the app for its convenience, security, and user-friendly design, and is now eager to expand their market, with plans to incorporate banks to broaden the transfer scope.

The immediate goal is to expand into Central and West Africa. To achieve this, OnDjoss, which earns revenue from transaction fees, is seeking investment to fuel growth.

Valdo said the company is looking for EUR870,000 (US$950,000) in seed funding to support expansion efforts and the development of additional features. The funds will be directed towards marketing, technological improvements, and market penetration strategies.
