AfriLabs, the largest network of technology and innovation hubs in Africa, is holding its Annual Gathering this year in Cairo, Egypt from the 18th to 20th of October 2017. The AfriLabs Annual Gathering is the biggest convergence of key stakeholders in the African technology ecosystem who come together for 3 days to network, share ideas & experiences showcase disruptive innovations and build partnerships.
This year’s theme “Smart Cities” is centred on employing Big Data and Internet-of-Things applications to improve the different aspects of daily life like Data analytics, Water/Waste Management, Buildings & Infrastructure, Energy Management, Transportation, Cyber Security etc.
The attendees from the innovation hubs, startups, government’s representatives and cities administrations, economists and scientists will work to together to put a vision for the next generation of African cities. The host of this year’s gathering is District, a member of the AfriLabs network in Egypt.
Registration is now open for the gathering, which will be held at The French University in Sherouk City, Cairo.
