African tech startups are now invited to apply for the Afreximbank Flagship Accelerator Programme, a high-impact initiative designed to empower visionary entrepreneurs building scalable solutions that enhance intra-African trade.
Spearheaded by the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank), the programme seeks to identify and support startups developing innovative technologies that address key challenges in:
- Cross-border payments
- Trade finance
- Digital commerce platforms
The accelerator is open to startups across all sectors, with a strong emphasis on trade-enabling solutions that can drive economic integration and unlock new opportunities within the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
Selected startups will benefit from:
- Tailored mentorship from industry experts and trade specialists
- Strategic business support to refine and scale their solutions
- Access to Afreximbank’s extensive pan-African network of partners, investors, and institutions
- Potential investment opportunities of up to US$250,000
“We welcome innovative trade-enabling solutions across all sectors,” Afreximbank stated. “While we are sector-agnostic, we are particularly interested in solutions that address key challenges in intra-African trade.”
The programme is a unique opportunity for African founders to gain visibility, secure funding, and contribute to the continent’s digital trade transformation.
Applications are open until June 30, 2025.
